Dr Wight takes the lead in several areas including anticoagulation, DMARD monitoring for patients with conditions such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, prescribing of controlled drugs within the practice, and teaching medical students.

Dr David Wight joined Rustlings Road Surgery in 1996 and is the senior partner. He qualified at Manchester Medical School in 1990 and worked at Tameside General Hospital for three years before joining Sheffield GP Training Scheme in 1993. As part of his training he worked in various specialities in Sheffield hospitals, and at various GP Practices around the city before joining the surgery.
